The measuring system concept is based on a module for WST / EM loading and a complete measuring device with safety housing. Thanks to a special designed loading system, WST / EM loading and measurement can be carried out in parallel. This minimizes the cycle time. This measuring machine processes over 60 measurement features in a very short time. The technologies used, such as laser triangulation sensors for distance measurement and camera systems for part recognition through to tactile measurement technology for deviations in shape and position, round off this multi-sensor system. This system is specially designed for automatic operation (in-line).

Concept

Measuring system for manual or automatic testing of rotor shafts with regard to internal and external geometries.

Manual loading of the WST takes place from the front of the measuring device via safety doors into the WST support prisms. The robot is loaded from above into the measuring device on the WST support prisms. After the start of the measurement, the WST is automatically clamped between the centering points and checked for the correct WST type and correct WST loading. With the flexible and tactile measuring modules (WST temperature, length, diameter, optics, toothing module) the WST is statically or dynamically probed at the corresponding diameter and length, the defined measuring features are recorded, calculated, visualized and classified .

Concept

The measuring device is loaded and unloaded with a robot arm (in-Line). The setting master is also fed by the robot and is located in a protected area near the robot arm. What is special here is that temperatures of over 60 ° C are measured for the first time. The cooling behavior of the waves is determined empirically and then correlated at room temperature. The handling system communicates with the SPC measuring computer via Profinet using a coupler. Use through tactile measurement technology for diameter, roundness, cylindrical shape, distance, axial run-out, angle measurements of grooves, including temperature sensors on all machined surfaces. Despite the large temperature range, this measuring machine covers very small tolerance fields.

Concept

The workpiece is placed manually, vertically with the WST axis standing on the automatic WST holder. The centering and fixing of the WST is carried out automatically using three internal clamping fingers. Tactile probing is carried out using the point or scan method, depending on the measurement feature. In order to achieve fast cycle times, the dynamic diameter and length probes are carried out in parallel.

With this measuring device, the following features can be measured: inside / outside diameter, roundness, cylindrical shape, distance, axial run-out, taper angle, taper dimension with theoretical diameter - and that with very small tolerance fields. This facility also offers a safety test that detects incorrect loading of the wheels.

The whole concept can also be integrated into a production line as a fully automated measuring system.

Concept

With this measuring device, the diametrical or non-diametrical two-ball dimensions can be determined quickly and easily in any measuring plane. The workpieces to be tested are clamped between two centering points. The clamping range is adjustable by means of a handwheel. The measuring device is suitable for AE profiles, splines on cylindrical and slightly conical parts. Also suitable for straight or slightly curved (convex) tooth flanks. The tooth gap to be measured is screwed in manually with a laser point and aligned repeatably with an alignment bolt.

Thanks to an integrated rotary encoder, runout and shape can also be determined. By pressing the start button, the measuring probes are delivered and the two-ball dimension is determined.

Several manual measuring stations are set up and operated in series here. The workpieces are inserted manually, pre-centered by the mechanical conditions and held by the hold-down device. The measured value acquisition is triggered by the respective start box. Different measuring programs are available for each measuring station.

The measured values are recorded using tactile technology; form and position tolerances are taken into account. A total of up to 10 features are measured and the measurement results are made available via the appropriate interfaces for customer evaluation and archiving.

The entire concept is available as a manual measuring station or as an autonomous, fully automated measuring system for in-line production.

Concept

This measuring system is loaded and unloaded with a robot. With the help of a vibration-free mounted hydraulic unit, the cast parts are brought into the exact position in order to measure in the installation position. The pre-storage, designed as a drawer, enables the measuring machine to be loaded easily and safely. The tactile measurement includes up to 55-dimensional features, which are recorded and evaluated in the shortest possible time. Several sensors are used to eliminate temperature influences. The measurement result is transferred to the higher-level QA system and the component evaluation is transmitted to the robot (in-line process).

The measuring station is designed in such a way that the machine operator can measure every workpiece directly on site. The measuring system can thus be used very easily for setting up the processing machine. Our innovation here: both static and dynamic, non-contact measuring concept for inner cones in the 0.1 µm accuracy range. This enables us to check the following measurement features: diameter, angle, straightness. A hand scanner for selecting the production lot enables simple operation. The correct test plan is automatically activated by the SPC computer. The user is recorded by means of a fingerprint reader before each measurement. In this way, both the traceability of the production process can be ensured and the corresponding authorizations of the respective operator can be automatically selected in our VARIOsoft (password protection).
